Hello Robert Frost Families,
The total amount collected for the “Every Penny Counts” Coin Drive for Haiti is $1343.13!!! Thank you to everyone who so generously donated. We will be sending a check to Mercy Corp letting them know the money came from our wonderful Robert Frost students, families and staff. Also, thank you to Jackie Renoud for initiating the coin drive.
Don’t Forget – Freaky Friday Family Fun Night – Friday, February 26th (6-8 PM) in RF Gym! Dress up as your favorite fantastic character or make yourself look wild and wacky and join us for FREE food, fun, games and prizes! We will also be having the ever-popular Silent Dessert Auction that evening. Pizza and drinks will be served from 6-7 PM. Remember: All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Silver Falls Soccer Club Spring Registration – to register go to www.silverfallssc.org and click on the Registration link or register in person at St. Mary’s in Mt. Angel on Tuesday, February 23rd from 6-8 PM, Eugene Field on Friday, February 26th from 6-8 PM and at the YMCA Community Center in Silverton on Saturday, February 27th from 10-Noon. Spring Break Children’s Feeding Program – Marion-Polk Food Share will be providing free lunches to any child or teen between the ages of 1-18 during spring break this year. The lunches will be served between Noon and 12:30 at Eugene Field School, Scotts Mills School and St. Mary’s Elementary School.
Empty Bowls Soup Dinner – Sunday, March 7th (5:30-7:30 PM), Immanuel Lutheran Church. Tickets available at the door and at SACA. Call SACA at 503-873-3446 for details. Cost $5 per person and children 3 years and younger are free. Join community members for a meal of soup and bread while learning about hunger in our community. Handmade bowls by local students will be available.
The Purl District in downtown Silverton is now offering classes in knitting. Learn a new skill – make something for yourself or make a gift for someone. Teen class offered on Thursdays (3:30-4:30 PM) and Kids Knit on Saturday (1-2 PM). Contact Purl District for more information.
